Schedule Playbook runs
Run a Playbook on a schedule and preserve an auditable record of each occurrence.
Schedule Playbook runs
BetaPlaybooks are available to selected workspaces while we continue to improve them. Contact your V7 account team if you need access.
Schedule a Playbook when a process must run at a regular time. Choose the schedule, timezone, and preparation instructions that help the Playbook decide whether there is work to do.
What happens at each occurrence
Before a scheduled run starts, V7 Go prepares the input for that occurrence. Preparation can start the Playbook with the required input or skip the occurrence when there is nothing to process.
The run record keeps the schedule decision, prepared input, and final result. This makes scheduled work auditable and helps you investigate a skipped or failed occurrence.
Set expectations
A Playbook can have one active recurring schedule. The schedule uses a five-field cron expression and an IANA timezone. V7 Go checks schedules at minute-level intervals.
Tools that require interactive approval cannot complete unattended work. A scheduled run can also fail if it needs an integration that is not connected. Preparation can use tools, so it can have side effects before it decides to skip or start the run.
