Connect Affinity to V7 Go
Preview
This feature is new and evolving. Details on this page may change as we
improve it.
V7 Go connects to Affinity through Affinity's MCP server, so the agent can
search companies, people, and opportunities from chats, playbooks, and
workflows.
Affinity MCP needs a Scale, Advanced, or Enterprise plan. Go uses an
API key, not Affinity's Claude/ChatGPT OAuth.
The short version
- In Go, open Integrations → MCP Connectors → Affinity — or ask the
agent in chat to use Affinity. A connect card appears. - In Affinity, go to Settings → Manage Apps, click New App, and
name it (for example V7 Go). - Copy the API key into the connect card. Never paste it into the chat
message box. - Press Connect. The agent re-runs the tool against live Affinity
data.
Where do my credentials go?
The API key field on the card is sent to Go's backend over TLS and stored
encrypted. It never appears in the chat transcript, and the AI model never
sees it. If you paste a key into chat, revoke it in Affinity and issue a
new one.
Troubleshooting
- The MCP server rejected the credentials. The key is wrong, revoked,
or never saved. Press Re-enter credentials and paste a fresh key. - Plan or permission errors. MCP is not on the Affinity plan, or an
admin disabled MCP agents under Settings → Affinity MCP. Fix that in
Affinity; reconnecting does not help.
Affinity's own guide: developer.affinity.co, MCP Authentication.
For messages Go shows on the connect card, see
MCP connector errors.
FAQ
Who can connect? Any Go user can paste a key. Creating the app in
Affinity needs access to Settings → Manage Apps.
Is the connection shared? Connections follow the sharing policy on the
