Publish and Unpublish Workflows for Chat
Control whether a workflow appears in Chats by setting it to Live or Draft.
What is Workflow Publishing?
Workflow publishing determines if a workflow is available in the workflow picker when you start a new Chat.
- Live workflows appear in the workflow picker and can be selected for Chats
- Draft workflows are hidden from the workflow picker, so you can build and test them without affecting your team
This feature helps you develop workflows privately before making them available to your workspace.
How to Change Workflow Status
-
Open the workflow you want to modify
-
Locate the status indicator in the workflow header
-
Click the indicator to toggle between Live and Draft

The change takes effect immediately. No save or confirmation is required.
Status Indicators
A colored dot in the workflow header shows the current state:
| Indicator | Status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green dot | Live | Workflow appears in Chat workflow picker |
| ⚫ Gray dot | Draft | Workflow is hidden from Chat workflow picker |
Default Behavior for New and Existing Workflows
| Workflow Type | Default Status |
|---|---|
| Workflows created before this release | Live |
| New workflows created after this release | Draft |
All existing workflows were automatically set to Live when this feature launched. New workflows default to Draft, so you can configure them before making them available to your team.
