Connect Egnyte to V7 Go
Preview
This feature is new and evolving. Details on this page may change as we
improve it.
V7 Go connects to Egnyte through Egnyte's MCP server, so the agent can
search and read files from chats, playbooks, and workflows.
The OAuth popup asks for your Egnyte domain. You also need an Egnyte plan that includes the AI add-on.
The short version
- In Go, open Integrations → MCP Connectors → Egnyte — or ask the agent
in chat to use Egnyte. - Press Connect and authorize Egnyte in the popup.
- The agent re-runs the tool it was trying to use.
There is no client ID or API key to paste.
Troubleshooting
- The popup asks for a domain you do not recognize. Enter the domain you use to sign in to Egnyte (for example acme.egnyte.com), not V7's.
- Connect succeeds but tools 403. The account is missing the AI add-on. Ask your Egnyte admin. Reconnecting does not add it.
- The agent keeps asking to connect. Reconnect from the connector page.
For messages Go shows on the connect card, see
MCP connector errors.
FAQ
Is the connection shared? Connections follow the sharing policy on the
connector page. Private connections only work for the user who created
them.
What can the agent do? Whatever your Egnyte user can already do. Ask "what Egnyte tools do you have?"
for the live list.
