Organizations in V7 Go
A centralised way to manage billing, users, and reporting across multiple Workspaces in V7 Go.
Organizations add a level above Workspaces in V7 Go. They let businesses with multiple teams, offices, or regions organize their use of Go around a single company-level account while keeping day-to-day work inside individual Workspaces.
An Organization represents the entire company. A Workspace remains the place where teams do their work.
With Organizations, V7 Go can:
- Group multiple Workspaces under one company-level entity
- Provide a foundation for company-level administration, billing, seats, and reporting
- Link customer Organizations to company records used for account management
- Support a more consistent account structure, including for customers with only one Workspace

How Organizations and Workspaces fit together
An Organization is the top-level account entity for a company in V7 Go. It sits above one or more Workspaces.
A Workspace is where users access their work and collaborate with their teams. Workspaces can represent separate offices, teams, or operating regions.
For example, a company with three offices might have the following structure:
Example Company (Organization)
├── Dublin Office (Workspace)
├── London Office (Workspace)
└── New York Office (Workspace)This is an illustrative example of the hierarchy.
Organizations are not a replacement for Workspaces. You will continue to use Workspaces to carry out your work in Go.
What belongs at each level?
| Organization | Workspace |
|---|---|
| Represents the company | Represents a team's or office's working environment |
| Groups one or more Workspaces | Belongs to an Organization |
| Provides the company-level structure for contracts, billing, seats, users, and reporting | Remains the location for day-to-day work and current permission management |
| Provisioned by the V7 team | Provisioned by the V7 team |
Why Organizations are being introduced
Some businesses use V7 Go across multiple Workspaces. Previously, each Workspace was the top-level account container, which made it difficult to manage company-wide needs across several Workspaces.
Organizations establish a shared company-level structure so V7 Go can better support:
- Multiple teams and offices: Keep separate Workspaces while grouping them under the same company.
- Account administration: Establish a common account identity instead of treating each Workspace as an unrelated customer account.
- Billing and seats: Align account structure with how businesses purchase and manage Go. [VERIFY which consolidated billing and seat-management features are live.]
- Reporting: Support a reporting model that can serve customers with multiple Workspaces. [VERIFY which cross-workspace reports are customer-accessible at launch.]
- User management: Provide the foundation for company-level user onboarding and access management as these capabilities are introduced.
Does my company need multiple Workspaces?
No. The Organization structure also applies to customers who have only one Workspace.
For example:
Example Company (Organization)
└── Main WorkspaceThis means a company can use the same account structure whether it starts with one Workspace or later operates several.
Creating an Organization or Workspace
Organizations and Workspaces are currently provisioned by the V7 team. Self-service creation is not supported.
If your company needs a new Organization or another Workspace, contact your V7 account manager or the support team to discuss the setup.
[VERIFY whether existing customer Workspaces will be assigned automatically to Organizations, and whether customers need to take any action during migration.]
Users and permissions
Organizations establish a company-level account structure, but user permissions are still managed within individual Workspaces.
Being part of the same Organization does not, by itself, mean that a user has permission to access every Workspace under it.
Company-wide user provisioning and management are areas of ongoing development. [VERIFY whether any Organization-level user directory or automatic company-user mapping is available to customers at launch.]
Current limitations
The following limitations apply to the current Organization model:
- Organizations are regional by default. The intended setup is one Organization covering Workspaces within a single region.
- Multi-region user management is not currently supported. Permissions are still managed within individual Workspaces.
- No self-service provisioning. The V7 team creates Organizations and Workspaces.
Important: Organizations should not be understood as providing a single global login or automatically unified access across all regions. These capabilities are part of a longer-term direction, not the current release.
FAQ
Will Organizations replace Workspaces?
No. Organizations sit above Workspaces. Teams continue to work in their Workspaces as before.
Can an Organization contain just one Workspace?
Yes. Every Workspace is intended to belong to an Organization, even when a customer has only one Workspace.
Can I create an Organization myself?
No. Organization and Workspace creation is handled by the V7 team.
Does joining an Organization give me access to every Workspace?
No. Permissions continue to be managed at the Workspace level.
Can my Organization manage Workspaces in several regions?
Organizations are regional by default, and multi-region user management is not currently supported. Contact your V7 team to discuss your company's regional requirements.
Can I manage billing, seats, users, and reports for every Workspace in one place?
Organizations provide the company-level structure for these capabilities, but the source material does not confirm that all corresponding controls are available in the initial release. [VERIFY available customer-facing controls before publication.]
What happens to my existing Workspace when Organizations are introduced?
[VERIFY migration behaviour, any changes to URLs or login, workspace ownership, existing permissions, billing, and whether customer action is required.]
